About RoomReview

RoomReview is a UK-based PropTech startup focused on increasing transparency and trust in the rental market. The platform enables tenants to share verified property reviews, supports landlords in improving standards, and strengthens accountability across the housing ecosystem.

We are currently finalising our MVP and preparing for launch. We are looking for a UI/UX Designer to join as a Community Contributor and support product design execution during this stage.

Role Overview

As a Community Contributor – UI/UX Designer, you will collaborate directly with the founding team to design clear, structured, and user-centric web experiences for both tenants and landlords.

This role is suitable for a student or early-career designer seeking structured startup experience and a strong portfolio case study within a live product environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design user flows and interface structures aligned with MVP objectives.
• Create wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and interactive prototypes in Figma.
• Maintain consistent visual identity, usability standards, and responsive layouts.
• Prepare developer-ready assets and maintain organised Figma files.
• Participate in structured feedback and iteration cycles with founders and developers.
• Contribute to landing page and onboarding flow optimisation.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Figma (required).
• Solid understanding of UI/UX principles, usability, and responsive design.
• Strong visual hierarchy, typography, and layout skills.
• Ability to structure components and design systems within Figma.
• Clear communication and ability to implement feedback efficiently.
• Self-directed and reliable in a remote working environment.
• Interest in PropTech, marketplaces, or community-driven platforms is advantageous.
