Role & responsibilities

1. Prepare 2D drawings, shop drawings, and system layouts for home automation and ELV systems using AutoCAD, Revit, and Bluebeam.
2. Develop wiring diagrams, rack layouts, and schematics for lighting control, AV, and automation systems.
3. Design systems including lighting control, audio/video distribution, home theatre, surveillance, and networking.
4. Interpret US architectural and electrical drawings to integrate automation and low-voltage systems.
5. Coordinate with US-based project managers, engineers, and site teams via Zoom/Teams/email communication.
6. Prepare Bill of Materials (BOM), equipment schedules, and documentation as per US standards.
7. Review and update drawings based on site feedback, redlines, and RFIs.
8. Ensure designs comply with US codes, client standards, and project requirements.
9. Manage multiple projects with strict deadlines and quality standards.

Must-Have Onsite & Product Experience

1. Prior onsite experience in installation, testing, and commissioning of home automation/ELV systems (mandatory).
2. Hands-on experience working with systems like Crestron and Control4.
3. Strong understanding of real-world wiring, panel layouts, and troubleshooting.
4. Experience coordinating with site teams, electricians, and contractors.
5. Ability to translate onsite experience into practical, buildable designs.
6. Experience in rack building, cable termination, and AV/network integration.
7. Familiarity with snag lists, testing, commissioning, and final handover process.
8. Ability to review site photos/videos and update drawings remotely based on site conditions.

7. Ability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced environment.
8. Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
