We are a highly structured business that works to be very organized.... but at times, will be in need of support to get us back on top...

Experienced designers looking for another client - this may or may not be for you...we want to train, groom, grow, and improve a designer that is fresh, new and yet has long term goals.... we want to grow you into a great designer but do it our way.

We have two shopify stores we service.

We need items posted efficiently - details researched - and accuracy.... to the penny.

Get in - get it done - and get out. Charge me for your time and only for the time it takes to do it right the first time.

You will be given a list of needs - you can do them as the work presents itself... some weeks will be heavier than others... we need about 10 hours a week but could grow as you become stronger and our performance improves.

You will report to the lead designer that will approve each product and improve your abilities.

We have a lead designer that we love - she has a number of clients and someday, she will be taken from us... which is the beauty of working with good people and seeing good employees rise... we want to do the same thing with you.

Ideal candidate will think that $25 is a good wage to start

This must be a single hire - not an agency.

The learning curve is significant, as you will learn a ton about wine, and about our processs.

• we are looking for someone to give us a year minimum - short term hires need not apply.... Our current team member was fantastic and was with us two years - she is getting married, graduating from College and getting a full time job. She will help bring this person up to speed if we can hire someone near tearm.

Ideal candidate can respond to my WhatsApp and "que" the work

Ideal candidate has their own office, computer, design tools, and bills me 10-99, and learns about our work patterns.... and adjusts to our needs.

Shopify platforms - Ideal candidate has worked with this platform but DESIGN is key... and shopify is very easy to learn... we can teach you.

Functions:

As a 2nd designer - backing up the lead designer that will move into a supervisory and leadership role with our company.... overseeing your work.

Ads for my wine brokerage - a couple times a month.

Daily - add new wines to the store

Daily - check inventories - we do real time inventory check up (typically 12 to 2pm Mon-Thursday) but timing can be flexible.

1 Function: wines - we list and price the wines on our wine store www.merchantofwine.com.. this will be a primary function.

Doing things the way we are doing them and then finding ways to improve our business - are appreciated.

Speed - accuracy - efficiency - trust - we want you to be effective and not hurt our cost centers with large bills that we can not afford or justify... but we will appreciate good honest work and reward it with growth... warning: as soon as trust is broken, there will be nothing to discuss.... we can only see what you have billed and what you have produced and decide if you are a good investment... and you will decide if we are good colleagues... we want there to be a high level of respect and a high level of appreciation.

Skills

• Knowledge of SHOPIFY (we an train) (can increase rate of pay over time with strong SHOPIFY guru style skills)
• SEO skills (we will help you develop if you do not have) (can increase rate of pay over time)
• You have a portfolio of graphic designs that show your ability (no illustrations please)
• Familiarity with design software and technologies (such as InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Photoshop)
• A keen eye for aesthetics and details
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work methodically and meet deadlines
• Degree in Design, Fine Arts or related field is a plus
• Must have strong command of proper English and spelling is a must.
• Knowledge of Los Angeles and food and wine are both a plus.

Job will shadow the current designer to start

While the work is remote - this designer is part of a team and need to be a good team player.

Pay: Negotiable - please be willing to start at $25 and increase wages over time with good quality work, amazing SEO results, and continued growth in revenue.

We do not hire agency's - we work as a team and require designer to be available to work with our Los Angeles timelines. We love designers that have other clients - we can work around many issues. Command of the English language is critical - especially since the owner (me) has many shortcomings... I need to hire strength.
