3D Sculptor - Character designer (Remote)

About the Role

We are looking for a talented
3D Sculptors
to join our creative team at MTRCG Studio.

You will be responsible for turning sketches into high-quality 3D models using
ZBrush
, and optimizing them for
3D printing
.

This role requires meeting a
monthly production target
, ensuring consistent quality and timely delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Receive sketches and translate them into detailed 3D sculpts.
  • Sculpt and refine characters, figures, or props using ZBrush (and optionally Blender or Maya).
  • Perform model optimization for 3D printing — clean topology, mesh simplification, hollowing, and structural preparation.
  • Ensure models are fully print-ready (scaling, wall thickness, supports, and tolerances).
  • Deliver models on time and meet monthly production goals.
  • Revise models based on feedback and maintain high-quality standards.
  • Keep assets organized and follow studio workflow guidelines.
  • Stay updated with the latest digital sculpting and 3D printing techniques.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a 3D Sculptor or similar digital modeling role.
  • Strong proficiency in ZBrush .
  • Solid understanding of 3D printing optimization (mesh cleanup, hollowing, tolerances, supports).
  • Strong artistic fundamentals: anatomy, proportions, and detailing.
  • Ability to work efficiently and meet production targets.
  • Good communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • A portfolio showcasing sculpting work and 3D print-ready models.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in 3D printing , collectibles, or game asset creation.
  • Familiarity with Substance Painter , Blender , or Maya .
  • Passion for continuous learning and technical improvement.
