Freelance Designer

Exhibit Africa is a leading exhibition-stand builder across East Africa. We design and build custom booths and pavilions — from small expos to large country pavilions — offering full end-to-end exhibition services from concept to completion.
Key Responsibilities
Creative Design & Visualization
- Develop strong initial design concepts and present them for feedback.
- Produce and refine 3D visualizations and compelling presentation layouts.
- Independently lead specific design tasks or support ongoing projects.
- Ensure all creative work meets Exhibit Africa’s standards for quality, functionality, innovation, and sustainability.
Technical Design & Documentation
- Prepare and finalize detailed technical drawings for fabrication and construction.
- Provide timely clarifications during fabrication to ensure smooth execution.
- Guarantee all technical and graphic layouts are accurate, well-detailed, and aligned with project specs.
Requirements (Must-Haves)
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in exhibition stand design .
- Proficient with SketchUp and Layout .
- Skilled in Enscape for rendering and visualization.
- Able to work on short notice (from 1 day) and available during weekends or holidays , if needed.
- Quick turnaround time and ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Fluency in English .
- Hourly rate (to be established) — paid by the hour.

Working Conditions & Engagement Type
- Project-based engagement: typically one stand at a time , from concept through to technical documentation and fabrication.
- Workload can vary from a few hours to multi-day tasks depending on client needs.
- Fast-paced projects with immediate turnaround expectations .
- Work mostly during normal 8-hour workday based on East African Time (EAT) — but late evenings or off-hours may also be required when necessary.
Contract & Confidentiality
- Selected freelancers will need to sign a Freelance Agreement outlining payment terms and responsibilities.
- NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement) is required before starting any project.
