2D Motion Graphic Designer – E-Commerce

Job Description – 2D Animation Ad (E-commerce Motion Design)

This role focuses on creating engaging and visually appealing 2D animations and motion graphics for e-commerce marketing channels, including product pages, online ads, social media content, landing pages, and promotional campaigns. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in animation principles, brand visual storytelling, and the ability to produce conversion-focused motion design that enhances product presentation and user engagement.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

Conceptualization & Design

  • Develop creative concepts for animated e-commerce content including product highlights, feature demos, infographics, and promotional graphics.Create character, icon, object, or product sketches based on brand requirements.
  • Design storyboards and motion layouts for animation projects.
  • Produce 2D assets such as product feature graphics, UI elements, backgrounds, and illustrative components.Ensure design output is aligned with brand visual standards and e-commerce marketing goals.

Animation Production

  • Apply animation principles (timing, spacing, acceleration, squash & stretch, anticipation, etc.) to create compelling motion design.
  • Produce animations using industry-standard tools, such as:
  • Adobe After Effects
  • Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator
  • Adobe Animate (optional)
  • Animate product features, typography, transitions, logo animations, and motion graphics for e-commerce campaigns.
  • Render and export animations optimized for various platforms (Shopify/website banners, Meta/FB Ads, TikTok, YouTube, email marketing, etc.).
  • Adapt and version animations for multiple aspect ratios (1:1, 4:5, 9:16, 16:9, etc.).

General Responsibilities

  • Deliver consistent animation style and quality across all marketing channels.
  • Collaborate with the creative team, marketing team, copywriters, and content strategists to align design with campaign objectives.
  • Manage multiple animation tasks in a fast-paced e-commerce environment.
  • Maintain organized project files and follow established naming and export workflows.
  • Stay updated on motion design trends, platform best practices (Meta, TikTok, YouTube), and e-commerce creative performance insights.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Experience as a 2D Animator, Motion Designer, or Multimedia Artist in e-commerce, digital marketing, or advertising is preferred.
  • Strong portfolio showing motion graphics for online ads, social media content, or product-driven animation.

Technical Skills

Proficiency in:

  • Adobe After Effects (primary animation tool)
  • Adobe Photoshop / Illustrator
  • Canva and Capcut.
  • Familiarity with Lottie, Rive, or GIF/web animation formats is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of animation principles and visual storytelling.
  • Ability to create animated product showcases, explainer graphics, and marketing motion assets.
  • Basic understanding of optimizing motion graphics for web and social platforms (file size, formats, etc.).

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term

Contract length: 3 months

Pay: Php20,000.00 - Php25,000.00 per month
